The plans we made last week have worked out well, and today’s the day we get to meet Shea! Our trip down here to Georgia on Sunday and Monday went very, very smoothly, and so did our conversation with the placing family last night. We met them for dinner to talk some more about Shea and her needs and to make a specific plan for today. We’ll be leaving our Airbnb in about an hour and a half, and then we’ll meet our new daughter! Neither Kristie nor I can believe that this day is here. I think our internal adoption clocks are still set to International, and things just don’t move this fast when adopting from another country. But starting this afternoon, Shea will be with us full-time!

(We’ll post some pictures of the kids and the amazing place we’re staying, but that’ll have to wait until later. We have an extremely slow internet connection here, so I’ll need to wait until this evening to try to upload some photos.)
