Thank you for following our blog to this new site. Because this blog is password-protected, we will be able to share some more specific details about Mikaela’s adoption, including the fact that she is from Ukraine. Since Ukraine has such strict rules about what may and may not be posted for public view on-line, we figured that it would be nigh impossible for us to keep up with this blog while traveling. So, now that we have a private blog, we will be able to share pretty much as many details about our trip as we wish.

I (Greg) am also going to be starting a series of posts on this blog in the coming days. I have been giving some thought over the past few months to the ways in which the adoption of a child mirrors God’s adoption of us as His children. The general, essential matters are rather obvious and easy to grasp, but I intend to spend some time typing out my thoughts in an effort to understand this aspect of God’s character and His redemptive work better. I would welcome any thoughts and comments that you might have. After all, we come to know our Lord better when we help each other interpret our experiences and thoughts correctly in the light of His Word.
