This can’t be long, because it is late, and I am very tired. There are just a few things I wanted to post. The first is that we finally have internet at our apartment. YAY! It is a little slow, and we won’t be posting very many pictures with it, but it is a whole lot better than nothing. We got some great pictures today that I want to post, but that will have to wait until we can get back to McDonalds.
For the first time in Ukraine, we attended church today. It was really wonderful even though the service was all in Russian and Gabriela made me miss a pretty good bit of it. Most of the hymns were familiar, and Greg and I were able to follow along with the slower ones in Russian. It was really cool.
We also had a visit with Mikaela today, even though we don’t usually do that on Sunday. We are both so glad we did, because they let us hold her today. None of the workers spoke any English today, but through Russian and some elaborate pantomime, they made us understand that we had to keep her in the shade. We put her in a stroller with the shade all the way up and wheeled her out to the covered area of the playground, and we sat and held her the whole time. It was wonderful! We were all fighting over her the whole time, and she loved it.
If all goes well, tomorrow will be our last visit with Mikaela. We know we won’t have a visit with her on Tuesday, and we are still praying hard that they will allow us to take custody of her on Wednesday. Please join us in praying that. Greg and Meghan are both pretty homesick by this point, and even I am getting ready to come home. We hope that we have less than two weeks left. We are praying hard that we will be back in our home church with Mikaela on the fourth of July. We will keep you all posted. Thanks for your support as always.
