I have not yet had the time to finish journaling the events of the past week. Kristie has already filled you in a good deal on how busy we have been since arriving a week ago, so I won’t go into that here. What I will do, however, is post some pictures of our visits with Mikaela from Friday and yesterday. We actually met her for the first time on Thursday, but we only had about ten minutes with her because it was nearly time for her afternoon nap. Given the short amount of time we had with her that day, it didn’t seem right to take pictures, so we just waited until the next day. Kristie and I went to see her on Friday, and then we took our two bio kids—Josiah & Gabriela—along with Kristie’s sister, Meghan, yesterday to meet Mikaela. She is doing worlds better than we had expected, and we are praising God for that! More details will follow soon, but for now, here are the promised pictures.

All of your children are absolutely precious! 🙂 I love Mikaela’s bonnet – she looks like a princess!

Oh Greg and Kristie, she is so precious! I am so thankful that God has provided for your needs to allow you to provide a wonderful home for this beautiful little girl. I will be praying that all goes smoothly for you. Greg, I am anxious to read your thoughts on the comparison of our adoption as children of God. I think about that often. What better way to provide a human example of the great love God has for us! Thanks for sharing your experiences.
